We're moving!
We'll be moving August 19-23 into new offices at 1702 Live Oaks Street (next to the new Carteret County Library space) in Beaufort; we'll be in Suite 300. The only working phone for those few days will be 252-808-3301; whomever is answering that line will be happy to pass on messages to other staff. We'll do our very best to help you in a timely manner and want to thank you in advance for your patience! |

Newport Park County Commissioners approved funding for and gave Parks & Recreation permission to apply to the Parks and Recreation Trust Fund for a grant to build a community park next to the Newport Middle School, on 11 acres that were donated by the Board of Education in exchange for improvements to the middle school ball fields. The County was awarded $500,000 in grant funds and began construction in the Fall of 2008 with grading, utilities installation and seeding. For the plan, click on the Site Map. |
